Madhureeta Anand

Madhureeta Anand is an accomplished filmmaker with a diverse portfolio. She has a

directorial record comprising two narrative feature films and has authored eight narrative

features. Her repertoire extends to encompass numerous documentary films and series

spanning various genres. Her cinematic works have garnered both national and

international accolades for many of her creations.

Her filmmaking journey commenced with her studies at film school, after which she

embarked on a prolific career in the field. Beyond her contributions to the film industry,

Madhureeta is an adept writer, lending her voice to an array of websites and magazines. Her

expertise has also been acknowledged in various literary works and publications.

Her debut novel “Krishna Circus” is currently in bookstores in India. It is a novel about a

female superhero who traverses time to save the Earth and is being published by OM

international. The book was officially launched at the Jaipur Literature Festival. A French

translation of “Krishna Circus” is dues to be launched this year.

Apart from her cinematic endeavors, she is also a fervent advocate for the rights of women

and children. Notably, she recently founded Phree For Safety: a global mobile application designed to empower women by providing real-time, user-rated safety information for public spaces
