Aneel Bisht is a retired professor of English LIterature from Kumaon University.  She is a multifaceted personality with a passion for writing, education, conservation, and community engagement.  She has authored several children's books as well as a field guide for the birds of the Uttarakhand mountains. Her work with village children in Kumaon, Uttarakhand, is particularly noteworthy, as it aims to foster a deeper connection between young people and their natural environment.  As a consultant for Leafbird Foundation, Aneel's expertise informs the organization's efforts to promote conservation education in remote areas of Uttarakhand.
