Indrajit
Dr. Indrajit is an acclaimed independent producer and director of documentaries, with a diverse filmography spanning environmental issues, cultural concerns, current affairs, human rights, and more. He has helmed over 150 documentaries and fiction films, collaborating with various Indian government ministries, including the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Culture, and Prasar Bharati. In addition to his documentary work, Dr. Indrajit has produced audio-visuals and promotional films for corporate clients. His extensive travels throughout India and abroad have broadened his perspective and inspired his creative pursuits. A photography enthusiast, Dr. Indrajit's interest in cinema originated from still photography. His food and travel-related work has been featured in coffee table books and various magazines.
Dr. Indrajit holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Diplomacy from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), where he later worked as a postdoctoral fellow for three years. He is a recipient of the Senior Fellowship of Culture from the Ministry of Culture.
For the past two decades, Dr. Indrajit has been digitally archiving Uttarakhand's food, folklore, customs, and handicrafts. He is also the founder of the Foundation for Research in Endangered Species in Himalayas, an organization dedicated to researching and preserving the fragile Himalayan region's rich and threatened heritage.
