Bela Negi is a Mumbai and Nainital-based filmmaker and producer who explores the complexities of Uttarakhand's mountains through her work. Her feature film "Daayen ya Baayen" (2010) critiques the region's ecological degradation and social issues. As co-founder of Nitric Films, she produces ads, corporate films, and line produces feature films. A published writer, Bela's short stories appear in prominent magazines and anthologies. She is also the founder trustee of Leafbird Foundation, empowering rural Himalayan communities through education and livelihood initiatives. Bela conducts film appreciation and filmmaking workshops at Indian universities.
