Ashok Pande
Ashok Pande is a renowned Indian writer, translator, and editor from Haldwani, Uttarakhand. His literary career spans multiple genres, with notable works including the novel 'Lapujhanna', travelogue 'Jitni Mitti Utna Sona', short story collection 'Babban Carbonate', and prose collection 'Tareekh mein Aurat'. As a translator, Ashok has made significant contributions to Indian literature, translating over a dozen works from world literature, including Irving Stone's 'Lust for Life', Laura Esquivel's 'Like Water for Chocolate', Maxim Gorky's 'The City of the Yellow Devil', and works by Gabriel García Márquez, Pablo Neruda, Fernando Pessoa, Tenzin Tsundue, and Shuntaro Tanikawa, among others. His writing has been featured in various anthologies, including 'The Other in the Mirror'. Ashok is also the founder and editor of India's leading Hindi blog, "Kabadkhana".
