Vibhu Puri
Vibhu Puri is an Indian filmmaker and writer whose cinema moves seamlessly between lyrical and epic; intimate and expansive. Raised in the rustic lanes of Old Delhi, Vibhu grew up surrounded by the scent of attar, the pulse of folk music, the quiet echoes of Urdu couplets recited in courtyards of homes after dusk. These early influences continue to breathe through his work, the syncretic chaos of Delhi, the oral traditions of Punjab, and a constant undercurrent of love, loss, and longing.
A graduate of Film and Television Institute of India, Vibhu’s storytelling is poetic yet grounded, sensual yet socially aware. His acclaimed body of work spans film, web series, and advertising, with celebrated projects such as Heeramandi, Taj: Divided by Blood, and Hawaizaada, along with numerous visually arresting campaigns.
In his latest film Gustakh Ishq, Vibhu continues his exploration of love in its most vulnerable and human form, crafting stories that resonate quietly, deeply, and long after the screen fades to black.
