Dr. Indrajit Pant

Dr Indrajit: Profile

Born in Kumaon hills, masters in History from Delhi University and a PhD in Environmental

Diplomacy from JNU. Taught in JNU as a post- doctoral fellow for four years and a recipient

of the Senior Fellowship awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Directed and produced over hundred documentaries dealing with arts crafts, folklore and

cultural heritage including a film on the famous ballad of Uttarakhand – Rajula Malushahi-

commissioned by IGNCA, New Delhi.

Founder of FRESH (Foundation for Research in Endangered Species in the Himalayas) and

SASTRA (Society for Application of Science and Technology for Rural Advancement).
