Indu Pande

Indu Kumar Pande is a multifaceted personality, whose literary pursuits have been complemented by a distinguished career in the Indian Administrative Service. Born on December 4, 1949, in Nainital, Indu Kumar Pande's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from DSB Government College, Nainital, and a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee).


Indu Pande's professional journey began as a lecturer in Physics at Almora College, followed by stints in the Indian Revenue Service and Indian Administrative Service. He retired as Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand in December 2009, having chaired the 3rd and 5th State Finance Commissions and served as Chairman of the State Pay Commission.


As a writer, Indu Pande has made a notable contribution with his collection of poems in Hindi and Urdu, titled "Divija". His poetry has been appreciated for its philosophical and spiritual undertones, offering a unique perspective on life.
