Prabhat Gangola

Prabhat Gangola is a veteran musician and cultural advocate from Uttarakhand. He began his musical journey in 1970, learning Indian classical music from renowned gurus such as Smt. Annapurna Devi ji, Ustad Dilshad Khan Sahab, and Vidushi Kishori Amonkar ji in Mumbai. As a Recording Officer at HMV (now SaReGaMa), he worked on several Hindi films, collaborating with prominent musicians, composers, singers, and directors. After a successful stint in Mumbai, Prabhat Gangola returned to his native place to promote and preserve the folk art forms of Uttarakhand. He has been actively involved in promoting theatre, films, and music in the region. With a performance career spanning over 55 years, Prabhat Gangola continues to entertain audiences with his musical talents, inspiring future generations to appreciate India's rich cultural heritage.
