Saeed M. Shervani, Managing Director of Star Hotels Pvt. Ltd., has been a stalwart in the hospitality industry for 40 years. Born in Nainital, he is an alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa, and St. Joseph College, Nainital. Saeed has been actively involved in hospitality associations for 35 years, serving on the Board of the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI) for over 15 years, including a stint as President in 2013.
Saeed has also been instrumental in shaping the hospitality industry through his roles as President of Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India and Uttarakhand Hotel and Restaurant Association. He is a founder member of the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) and has served on its board. Saeed has also been on the board of Governors of the Institute of Hotel Management, PUSA New Delhi and Lucknow, and is a founder member of AEEDU, an NGO dedicated to empowering underprivileged communities.
