Life on Loan is a five piece rock band from the hills of Nainital, where music moves like the mountain wind. They describe themselves as hillbillies at heart who love an easy going and unhurried way of life. 

Blending hard rock, classic rock, fusion and Bollywood, the band is known for high energy performances and a sound rooted in grit and soul. Winners of the first ever Battle of the Bands at the Nainital Winter Carnival 2015, they’ve built a strong presence across the regional music scene. 

More than a band, Life on Loan is a voice. Their original music speaks about societal issues such as corruption, environmental degradation, human rights and communalism, while questioning systems that limit human potential. Believing there are no nations, only humanity, the band stands for unity and responsibility toward the land we inherit and must protect.

At the second edition of the Nainital Literature Festival, Life on Loan promises a power packed tribute to iconic rock and indie classics.
